Searching for an Administrative Coordinator

Hours: 50% (part-time/approximately 20 hours per week on average)

General Scope: The Administrative Coordinator (“AC”) is employed by the Palouse Choral Society (“PCS”), is hired by the PCS Board of Directors, and answers to the Board of Directors through the President and Executive Committee. The AC works collaboratively with the Board, the Artistic Director (the individual who conducts the Chorale and Chamber Choir) and the Children’s Choir Director to further the goals of PCS and manages all day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the organization according to established procedures. These responsibilities fall within the essential duty categories of organizational governance, management of PCS membership, season planning/concert management, community relations, fundraising/development, and general administrative duties. Required Qualifications:

  • four-year degree in business management or related field (preferred), or applicable work experience in lieu of the above
  • experience/skills with electronic communications via e-mail and online collaboration platforms (e.g. Zoom, Slack)
  • experience with maintaining electronic databases and spreadsheets utilizing word processing/spreadsheet applications
  • experience with overseeing and working within an organizational budget
  • positive personality and exceptional skills in interpersonal communication
  • ability to function under pressure in a team environment Preferred Qualifications:
  • previous experience in working with music/performing arts organizations as a performer, volunteer, or administrator/paid employee
  • familiarity with the use of a commercial copier
